20x Postcard Of GIANT PANDA NATIONAL ZOO , Washington, DC GIANT PANDA Ailuropoda melanoleuca Mei Xiang and Tian Tian were born at the China Research and Conservation Center for the Giant Panda. They were brought to the National Zoo in December, 2000, as ambassadors of conservation. A generous donation from Fujifilm helped acquire the pandas, fund panda education programs, and build the Fujifilm Giant Panda Conservation Habitat.
